ADVICE TO NEWLYWED COUPLES

INTRODUCTION:

Marriage is a beautiful journey ordained by God, requiring love, commitment, and wisdom to thrive. Newlyweds often enter marriage with high expectations but may face challenges that require patience and understanding. Biblical principles provide a solid foundation for a strong and joyful marriage. This teaching offers godly advice to help newlyweds navigate their new life together successfully.

1. BUILD YOUR MARRIAGE ON A STRONG FOUNDATION

  • a) Make God the Centre (Psalm 127:1)
    A marriage built on Christ will stand the test of time.

  • b) Commit to Each Other (Genesis 2:24)
    Leave and cleave – prioritise your spouse over all others.

  • c) Develop a Culture of Prayer (Matthew 18:19-20)
    Praying together strengthens your spiritual and emotional bond.

  • d) Study God’s Word Together (Joshua 1:8)
